  • Tau seeds induce neurofibrillary tangle formation across brain regions via individual-specific connectivity 04/08/2026
    Weber and Ng et al. measured tau seed bioactivity of synaptosomes from 256 postmortem samples and integrated these data with genotype and antemortem fMRI measurements from the same individuals. Multimodal analysis revealed that tau seeds drive neurofibrillary tangle formation both locally and across distal brain regions via individual-specific brain connectivity.
